New Year Update: Locking Orders + Getting Closer

Hello Everyone, happy new year!
I hope you all had a safe holiday. I want to take a minute and give an update on where we're at in the process. First off, We will be locking orders on Wednesday Morning (48 Hours from now).
What does this mean?
Locking orders will allow us to generate the spreadsheets to prepare the shipping phase. Once your order is locked you will not be able to change your address. So if your address has changed please update it now by visiting the link below and entering your email. If you address suddenly changes later on (before we ship) we will be able to change it for you, just send me a message. Once your order has shipped we cannot change your address.

Right now the Cosma Visions decks and the Big Visions Books are in the port of Los Angeles (yay!!). Apparently there are severe delays due to Covid and the iPhone 12 taking up a lot of the cargo ships. I've been told to expect at least a month delay for goods to be released and delivered to the studio. We may still be on track to begin shipping in February, but there are still a lot of aspects of the project we are waiting on.
Shipping: I was hoping to hire more people to help with shipping. My team consists of 4 people but we really need about 8-10 people to make this process more efficient. That being said, Los Angeles is unfortunately the center of the pandemic and we need to take precautions so that we all stay safe here in the studio. I'm going to do my absolute best to make the shipping run smoothly, but at the end of the day we need to focus on our safety here which may mean a longer shipping process with less people.
I am still hopeful that we will begin shipping in February, but this is not a promise. As with all kickstarter projects there are unforeseen delays and expectations do not always meet reality. I so appreciate your patience and understanding. I know you are anxious to receive your rewards and we will have them out to you as soon as possible.
When we do begin shipping please be patient, we will be doing it in batches that make the most sense. It will likely be a 4-6 week window of shipping out rewards, so some people may get theirs earlier than others.
Thanks again for your understanding, I'm so excited for Cosma Visions to be released into the world. I will send out another update when we have news!
Charging Backerkit add-ons, VAT + Puzzles!

Hello everyone,
It's been a few weeks since the last update, we've been super busy here in the studio prepping everything for the kickstarter shipment phase as well as a flurry of holiday shipping. This is a reminder any add-ons that were made in backerkit will be processed and charged on Monday, November 30th. If you did not add any funds during the backerkit survey you will not be charged anything. Kickstarter has already collected your payments.
I've been getting a lot of questions about VAT and other international import fees. There is a section in the project on international shipping: Please keep in mind that your country may impose import taxes upon the items arrival in your country. Our pricing does not include local taxes, duties and VAT. That will be subject to the laws and regulations of each individual country, but we will do our best to minimize the costs on our end.
We are hoping to mark packages as gifts, since they "technically" are and there won't be an invoice present in your package. We will have more of a concrete idea of how this will work as we approach the shipping phase.

Locking Orders - Last Chance to Make Changes!

Hello everyone!
I know I said I would lock orders on the 7th, but this last week has gotten away from me with all of the news! So this is serving as your final reminder that I will be locking orders, tomorrow, November 10th at 12 Noon PST. This will be your last chance to make any changes to the items in your pledge. We need to lock orders early on so we can have enough time sorting out the groups and ordering the necessary shipping supplies so that we are ready to go once everything arrives in the studio. You will still be able to change your shipping address until January 2021.
If you added anything on to your order your card will be charged on November 30th. Anything that was added during kickstarter, your card has already been charged.
ALSO, we're doing something super special in the shop this week! We dug through the archives at the studio and have assembled a massive archive week where old editions will be resurfacing all week long. AND we're offering FREE shipping (U.S. Only) on EVERYTHING in the shop. I mean EVERYTHING. We're releasing prints all week, so if you want to wait until everything is up come back Friday and check it out at www.jamesreadsmerch.com (keep in mind many editions only have a few prints available)...
Updates: Light Visions + Card Holders

Hello again!
So as I mentioned in the last update, there have been a few changes on some items in the campaign that you may want to know about before I lock orders. Orders will be locked on November 7th at which point you will not be able to make any changes to your pledges. You will still be able to edit your shipping information.
We had WAY more orders for Light Visions than I was anticipating. So many more that I had to order a new edition of Light Visions. This new edition will have card finishing that matches Prisma Visions and Cosma Visions and will have shiny gold edges again. The 79th card with the 4th edition of Light Visions is "Haven":
Tucked away in the thick forest, a humble wooden house emits a warm glow. Light spills from beneath the door and radiates from behind the stained-glass windows. A cold wind blows through the night air and as the crescent moon hangs high in the starry sky, the Haven calls you closer into safety.
Trudging through the unconquerable forest has left you tired and in need of serious rejuvenation. When you see the Haven in a reading it is a strong sign to pause for a moment of rest. You have worked tirelessly for too long and are nearing complete exhaustion. The outside world has not offered any shelter from the barrage of unfortunate events and looming catastrophes. If you take your time to seek refuge and focus on self care you will certainly find yourself ahead in the end.
I am automatically upgrading everyone who selected a Light Visions deck to the new 4th edition, so no action is needed on your part UNLESS you would prefer to keep the 3rd edition of Light Visions in your order. The third edition will likely be sold out by February when we are getting ready to ship SO If you prefer to have the 3rd edition then please access your survey at the link below by entering your email address and swaping the current Light Visions in your cart for the one that is now labeled "Light Visions 3rd Edition":
Once you click the above link and enter your email address you will be taken to your checkout page, in the top right corner click "edit your order" (this is more easily done on a desktop). Then go to the bottom of your item list and click "edit your pledge question responses" or "edit your add-on items" if Light Visions was an add on and then select "Light Visions 3rd edition".
Again, no action is needed if you want the new 4th edition.
I wasn't super happy with the bamboo card holder so I found another company that was able to make it out of a darker wood. It's been upgraded to an acacia wood and will match the Deluxe box more. The slot for the card is now at a slight 80 degree angle. These will come free with all pledges, so no action is needed here either, but if you would like to add a second or third they are $10 add ons.

Geomantic Visions Update!

Hello everyone!
It's been a few weeks since our last update but things have been moving along quite rapidly here. I wanted to take a minute to share how Geomantic Visions has progressed since it was initially teased. I spent the past month or so designing the coins and I've adapted the beings to better suit Geomancy. You'll notice a few changes here and there, but the heart of each is still very much present.
Below are the backs of the coins with each Geomantic Figure and the name of the figure. I removed their Cosma Visions names because I want this set to stand on it's own and I also don't think that they are necessary here. If you know, you know.

I will have another update going out within the next week on a few more changes (good ones), so I am extending the date to lock orders until November 10th, when I lock orders your cards will be charged for any added items during the survey process that were not added in the kickstarter campaign.
