Latest Updates from Our Project:

What Happens Next!
over 3 years ago – Thu, Sep 10, 2020 at 02:32:57 AM

Wow, we're in the final 24 hours!!!

I cannot believe how far we have come, thank you thank you thank you to each and every one of you, this campaign wouldn't be what it is without you.

First, one more edit (sorry sorry sorry): The Journal add on price is now $10, not $12.

>> THE JOURNAL ADD ON PRICE IS NOW ONLY $10 <<

It is $10 for one, $20 for two. I was putting together the surveys an in order to offer a $12/$20 pack version there would need to be 16 variants and it's just... too too complicated, so journal add-ons are now $10 each, please adjust your pledge down $2 if you just added one journal for $12. If you don't adjust it you will have an excess of $2, which can be applied to another add on item or you can leave it as a tip. :)

So you're probably wondering what happens once it ends!

When the campaign ends tomorrow all pledges will be locked, you will no longer be able to edit your pledges down or cancel your pledges. Kickstarter then will begin processing payments. I can't say when this will happen but they say it is a two week window, so expect your card to be charged anytime between the 10th and the 24th of September. During this period you will be given three charge attempts before you are dropped from the project so please make sure your payment information is correct!

Once kickstarter has collected the funds from everyone's pledges I will send out the surveys. Surveys will be sent out to your email address associated with your account, not here on kickstarter, so please make sure that your email address is correct. I will send an update out when the surveys have been sent out, but expect that to happen at the end of September or the beginning of October.

I've been getting a LOT of messages today about what you have added on to your pledges and what variants you want. There is no need to message me, I'm not writing any of this down! You will select these items in an easy user-friendly way (shown in the image below).

Do I need to fill out a survey?

YES!! Filling out the surveys is mandatory, you must answer the survey to get your rewards. This is where I collect your addresses and what items are in your pledge. If you do not answer the survey I cannot ship you your rewards. You will be reminded multiple times to fill out the survey. I will also post several updates here when they are sent out so please check your emails! There is always someone who, a year later, messages me here and says they never got their reward, it is always because the shipping address was never provided to us.

Surveys will be sent out with Backerkit, which is a post-campaign pledge manager that helps group orders and speed up the fulfillment process. The link in your email will take you to the Backerkit pledge manager which will have your reward tier information. If you added anything on to your pledge you will see that you have a remaining balance. This balance will then be used to select which items you added on. If you would like to add more things on you can do so! Keep in mind that things added on in Backerkit will be charged separately from your Kickstarter pledge as your pledge money will have already been collected at this point.

Below you will find an example of what the Pledge Manager will look like, in this example the backer had added on $10 to their pledge which can be used to select any $10 item. If this backer decided they wanted to add on Geomantic Visions in addition they would have a credit of -$35 and would be charged via Backerkit. These charges won't happen until I lock orders later in November.

Example of the Backerkit Pledge Manager

Even if you don't know your shipping address of where you will be located in February it is still important to fill out your survey ASAP. This is how I get accurate counts on everything so we can start production on a lot of these items. You will have a chance to change your address up until we begin shipping.

I will continue to keep you all updated as things progress. Please keep in mind that some items are subject to changes since samples and prototypes are still in progress, but this is the nature of kickstarter campaigns.

Thank you all again, I will miss our daily updates together and this rapidly changing campaign, but I admit I am excited for a full night's sleep tomorrow

The Final Stretch Goal + the Full Add-on List
over 3 years ago – Thu, Sep 10, 2020 at 12:17:17 AM

We're creeping up to our final stretch goal at $600,000 and I have seen a few of you asking if you can add it on now to help get us there faster. The answer is yes. I decided on the Limited Edition Sleeping Ships print as I think it is more commemorative of this project. (I also realized that the accordion panoramas would have to be very thin to fold the way they do and I don't know how great that will be.) So perhaps in the future I will offer limited edition prints of the panoramas but for now a tube would not fit in with the rest of the reward shipment.

Sleeping Ships is a 6" x 9" limited edition hand signed and numbered print and will be available as an add-on for $15. Normally I would charge $25-40 for a print this size, but given the success of this campaign and the discounted add-ons it only seems fair to keep the price low on our final stretch goal. You may add as many prints as you like, as well as any other items. If you want a recap on our add-on options you fill find a menu and a step by step walk through on how to add on items below.

To add on to your pledge on the computer:

1 Click on Manage Your Pledge. A new screen will come up.

2. Click on Change your Pledge. This takes you to the tiers.

3. It should take you to your "Current Reward."

4. On the bottom right, you will see the pledge amount in the Current Reward box

5. Add on the amount desired. You have to manually add it, so you just change the dollar amount.

To add on to your pledge on your phone:

1. Click Manage

2. Tap on the horizontal dots on the upper right hand side of screen

3. Press update pledge

4. Under pledge amount there will be a - and a + arrow. Click the plus arrow until you have added the amount you need.

ADD ON ITEMS:

A gold metal laser cut bookmark of the cosmic tree with a teal tassel

The Half-Million Dollar Collector's Coin
over 3 years ago – Wed, Sep 09, 2020 at 08:30:01 PM

HALF A MILLION!!! WHAT.

(sorry I'm a bit late, it happened in the middle of the night for me)

Thank you all so much for being here, it's so heartwarming to hear how excited everyone is about this project. Kickstarter has been such a special thing for me since the first deck I ever made. It helps projects evolve and grow in such a beautifully unique and collective way, and I will always be grateful for that. Most of the time, making art can be an isolating experience so it is pretty cool to see a project that I worked on for so long alone turn into something even greater when it has 4,400 people behind it.

There are 5 days left and now that we have surpassed $500,000 we unlocked a new stretch goal, a thank you from me to you:

$500,000 UNLOCKED: COLLECTOR'S COIN

ALL PLEDGES (that include a Cosma Visions Deck or Geomantic Visions) will now come with a commemorative collector's coin! Before you ask, no you cannot add a second one. :) One coin per backer. The coin will match the Geomantic Visions coins and have the same specs, around 1.75" made of zinc alloy with gold plating. I don't know how accurate this rendering is to the final product but here is what I am thinking it will look like..

Up next we have..

$550,000: "CARD OF THE DAY" HOLDER

Our next stretch goal will be at $550,000 and will be for a "Card of the Day" holder. I think this is going to be laser etched bamboo, around 1.5" x 3.5" x half inch thick (40mm x 90mm x 10mm)  with a slot to prop up your card of the day or any card you might want to focus on more. Below is the prototype for the design:

This took me a while to figure out how do go about it best (I'm still figuring it out). I want it to be light and easy enough to store or stash away. I've seen some "card of the day" holders but not too many. It's an odd thing to look up on google..

For those of you who were excited about this stretch goal, I'd be curious to hear what you had in mind?

Stretch Goal Unlocked: The Card Holder
over 3 years ago – Wed, Sep 09, 2020 at 08:29:46 PM

Well we did it. We hit every single stretch goal that I set out!

$550,000 UNLOCKED: "CARD OF THE DAY" HOLDER

I really gotta think of a better name for this thing..

A bamboo 'card of the day' holder will now come FREE with all pledges that include a Cosma Visions deck. It is one free/backer. If you would like to add a second or third it is a $10 add-on.

I read all of your suggestions and I made some changes. The slot will now go through to both sides which will make it usable with any tarot deck or with the art cards. I am looking into making it bigger so it will fit the collector's coin in the front where the Cosma Visions Emblem is, but in order to make this a freebie I have to keep the cost down. Nothing is set in stone yet, we are still working on making the first sample so all aspects are subject to changes.

So for the $600k mark I have two ideas and I want to hear from you all what you want:

Idea 1: A 6" x 9" print of "Sleeping Ships" signed and numbered in a limited edition.

Idea 2: A box set of the four panoramas (similar to the art card box set) but these will unfold like accordion panoramas into 6" x 36" images. I haven't figured out the specs on this yet but the paper will need to be thinner in order to fold so many times, so this idea is very much still in the works.

sample of an accordion fold

Neither of these stretch goals will be freebies. I think we've maxed out on the free goodies..

Right now all pledges for a Cosma Visions Deck will include:

  • A collector's coin
  • A bamboo card holder
  • Seven stickers
  • An enamel pin

And if your pledge also includes a Big Visions Book it will also come with:

  • A Cosmic Tree Bookmark
  • The Past is a Present (pack of 6 cards)

Cast your vote for what you want to see next in the comments below!

Update on the Journals
over 3 years ago – Wed, Sep 09, 2020 at 08:02:53 PM

So, I have a little update on the Journals. It's a mix of good and bad news, or maybe it's all good depending on your preferences.

1. You will be able to select either Teal or Light Grey for the blank and the workbook version. So they are not tied to their colors anymore.

2.There was some miscommunication and this style of journal is only available as a spiral bound journal. There is an option to switch the journal to a stitch bound version but it would entirely change the design, so I'm going to scrap the stitch bound version for now. This means that both versions of the journals are now ring bound.

3. The paper color of the blank journal is now going to be a cream color, with the workbook in the kraft color.

ADD ON: One Journal for $12, two Journals for $20 (you can select which 2 you want)

Workbook: ring bound , 80 brown kraft pages with designed sheets. Available in Teal or Light Grey.

Blank Journal: ring bound, 80 cream pages with blank sheets. Available in Teal or Light Grey.

Also, A5 paper should work as an optional refill for those who have been asking.

If any of this changes your mind on the journals then please adjust your pledges accordingly before the campaign ends on Thursday! If you're not sure if you want the journal you will still be able to add it later, along with all other items, during the survey process. You will NOT be able to edit your pledges down though, you can only add to them once the campaign closes. I will send an update out on the survey process and what to expect after the campaign ends.
